24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? I really, really wished there was time for it, but there wasn't. Not even for the episiotomy... OW

I haven't even tried my normal clothes yet either - keep wearing sweats and pjs every day like I did at the end anyway. But other than the funny, flabby tummy, I seem to be back down completely!

| Today I ended up in tears (twice!). Over clothes.
Tom did laundry yesterday, which is good. And he asked in advance what stuff of mine could go in the dryer ('cause I never put most of my stuff in so it will stay the size I bought it!). I said that I'd take care of that, and he brought up a basket of my stuff. I went through it and about half of it got hung up.
I went downstairs today to get everything out of the dryer, and found a lot more of my clothes in there than he brought up for me. Crap.
So the ONE pair of normal (i.e. non-maternity) jeans that I had that still fit really comfortably... totally shrunk. That's what did it. The sweatshirts weren't such a big deal because one is old, and the other two were already getting tight, so I knew it wouldn't be much longer before I couldn't fit them over the bump anyway... and besides, it's crazy hot these days, so I don't wear 'em that much! But the jeans... ugh. I can't even get them halfway up my thighs anymore... so NO hope of wearing them anymore. Looks like I have exactly one pair of jeans now (maternity), and I'm gonna have to go get more.
And unlike many (most?) women, I'm NOT into clothes shopping. I don't like it. I go very rarely, only for the basic stuff I need, and that's it. And then that stuff generally lasts me till it falls apart (literally. I still have clothes from grade school, and my pre-weight-gain favourite jeans were FULL of holes because I've had them so long!) Now I'm being forced to go more often, and it's stuff that will only fit for a little while... which is such a waste of money in my eyes.
I hate it.
